The Gallery: Susie MacMurray

10-24-08 susie 9.jpgWe can't remember the path we took to wind up at Susie MacMurray's art, but it most certainly involved the creative use of unusual materials. Can you tell what common party paraphernalia she used to create these art pieces?

If you guessed balloons, you're right, though the final outcome gives a distinctly floral impression. Simple in color and shape, it's really the texture of these pieces that leaves us feeling anything but deflated.

Balloons! I saw her work in a store on Beverly (in L.A.) and wrote down her name but misplaced it -- thanks for the reminder!
