apartment therapy changing the world, one room at a time

The Brace Case by Ward Huting

2-19-brace case.jpg

Visually interesting, yes -- but practical? Not so much. Ward Huting's Brace Case seems like more of an art installation than a practical shelving unit.

Clamped between floor and ceiling, it can be tailor-made to any room -- and since the owner actually installs the cables, it's entirely personalized.

Wow, not only ugly and poorly constructed but useless as well!

I don't even find it visually interesting. Agree with Comicgeek: ugly, poorly constructed, completely useless and a total waste of space.

I saw this on another blog and wrote the only comment, which was bleck! I wouldn't be happy if I made that in my garage.

would y'all still say 'bleck' if it was painted a glossy red? i think someone living in a warehouse loft would be able to find a hundred and one uses for it. i like it.

It reminds me of Marcel Duchamp's The Bride Stripped Bare By Her Bachelors, Even.
