We were reading SF Weekly's "Best of 2008" last week and noticed that flipp had been named the best interior design store. Startled, we wondered why we hadn't heard of it. Shoot forward ten minutes and we're browsing the tiny shop and falling in love with all the things we need, but were never able to find. Think lamp shades, clocks, small but comfy lounge chairs, affordable throws, etc. The store's owner, Daniel Kowalski, takes his "fashionable living in petite places" motto seriously!

Not only does flipp have an eclectic taste, but the prices are great as well. When we inquired about the price of several of these wall clocks, we were surprised at how inexpensive they all were.

Got a huge place? Don't think you can't find something at flipp. Although the store is mostly interested in providing items for small(er) living, you can still find items (like this lamp) that are a bit large.

In addition to interior furnishings and decor, flipp also has an outdoor area that features some of Daniel's custom work. Like this wooden wall he designed and installed himself. He said that he got the idea after seeing a fallen down barn.
