011309-lamps.jpg Purchasing bedside lamps is always a true treasure hunt. You are constantly on the lookout for lamps with the perfect shade height (no one wants to stare at a bare bulb while reading in bed), size and more. We went searching high and low for lamps that should fit into everyone's price ranges and if you can't tell, we have a thing for neutral colored lamps today. Maybe it's because we like our bedding bright! Click through for links and pricing.

I just got the Versailles touch lamps for free from someone on Craigslist and I adore them. They have a sleek modern look, cast a warm light, and there's no clumsy cord switch to deal with. They sometimes flicker when on the lower brightness settings (there are three), but I think the highest setting is just the right amount of light for bedside reading anyway.

I should note that they are quite small. Mine measure in at just under 9" tall The shade is 6" in diameter. It's perfect for my purposes (I'm using it as a desk lamp), but if you want it to accent a large end table, it may look miniature.

In the future, can you post the link next to the picture? It's hard to tell which link belongs to which lamp. Thanks.

My current search for the perfect bedside lamps seems endless. I need something for the top of our floating nightstands, which are only 12" x 21", and I don't want to use desk lamps because they aren't cozy enough to me. I will check out those Target lamps!

AT, you should do a lamp roundup with affordable lamps! I feel like I'm going in circles with it.
