Miranda: Japanese Storage Containers from Decole

We are always looking for storage options for all the little knick knacks that we collect. Miranda is a line of storage boxes by Japanese company Decole. They come in vintage inspired colors with wonderful patterns on the sides. We love the idea that you could mix and match these together, creating different combinations, or you can go for more uniform set up. These would be great in the kitchen, office, or kids' room.

We were so delighted when we first stumbled across the Decole containers on the Print and Pattern blog. The world of pattern design is fascinating and inspiring for us, and finding great products with beautiful or funky patterns is always a treat.
We enjoy the simplicity of Decole's collection. Their lunch boxes not only look great, but are also very functional. Two separate compartments offer more options for storing and transporting food. Decole's boxes nest into one another for easy storage. You can also get lunch bags that are part of the collection for the complete set.

Check out the complete Miranda line on the Sunny Side website.

The ones w/ the flowers remind me of vintage Pyrex

I want them all-- and i agree with bepsf-- reminiscent of either pyrex or corning ware.

Yeah, they look like Pyrex patterns that were in our kitchen when I was growing up.

I'm a big fan of bento boxes. And I like that these are a little less cutesy than your average bento. However, I do kind of hate when a post touts a product that isn't available in the US.

My daughter loves Manga, Anime and Asian inspired cuteness, so we are always on the prowl for new stores and places to buy things. Here is one site to consider: http://search.borderless.rakuten.com/borderless/search.action?l=en&m=false&uc=true&vm=2&f=1&sm=0&k=decole&tl=100762
Personally I haven't ordered from them but that's because we have local places in VA that sell these kinds of items. :)

I love it when products from all over the world are profiled. This site has an international readership, so I hope they wouldn't limit themselves only to products available in the U.S.. (But I'll bet you could find this in the U.S. if you looked hard)

Here in the Silicon Valley there is a Daiso shop that carries all manner of inventive, cheap, plasticy Japanese goodies. I'll bet they'll have somethng like this.

You'll undoubtedly find these or items similar in Japantown.
