Artwork Month may have ended, officially, but you know that every month is really artwork month here at AT:SF.
Becky over at Hatch: The Design Public Blog just did a post on Organizing Artwork. While there were several great pics of well-composed art, this one by artist Michelle Caplan caught our eye. We like it because it's so casual and everything's easily switched out. And the different sizes of the pieces of art really make it work.

Without sounding too harsh, I find the overlapping of artworks like holiday cards to be in rather bad taste. Not only does this obscure the artwork it creates a visual headache that interferes with the observation of the artwork.
Just my $.02
Thank you for including my pic Leslie! The display is constantly changing and has since started creeping up the wall! The art is taking over!
this is just my 2 cents, but i do think it sounds harsh to say any kind of overlapping art is 'in bad taste'. art is so subjective and means so many different things to so many people, i don't think you can label it in such a way. maybe that's not your taste, but it's not 'bad taste'.
and michelle's work is lovely.
I think it looks great. Simple as that.
I am definitely an art-overlapper, especially where I have items leaning against the wall like Michelle does. I am very drawn to the way Michelle composes all the art so it works together as something bigger than just a sum of all it's parts.
