ICFF 2008: LinkLight from Pablo

2008-ICFF-SF.jpg Pablo, the San Francisco-based lighting design company, showed off their catalog of iconic modern light fixtures, including their well known Tube Top lamp, at this year's ICFF. What really impressed us though was their newest desk lamp - the LED powered LinkLight.

According to Pablo, the LinkLight has "brighter light output than any other popular LED desk lamp currently available." We loved its modern lines, not to mention the wide range of colors it was shown in. Oh, and that slim profile? It comes from the fact that that there's no internal wiring, instead the lamp "delivers power directly through its aluminum skin." Cool.

The LinkLight is still a prototype, but the Pablo representative we talked to said they were continuing on to China after ICFF to work on getting production set up. We think it's going to be a great addition to the desk lamp market when it finally hits stores.

It kind of reminds me of the eyeball from the creepy Coke Zero commercial saying that it isn't fat.
