apartment therapy changing the world, one room at a time

Inspiration: Alissa Hunsaker Photography

03.03.09_Alissa_01.jpgColorful spaces always get our attention. We love combinations of oranges, greens, fun patterns and unusual furniture pieces. There is the other side of us that loves the simplicity, clean lines and modern design. We could easily fall in love with a stainless steel table and a vintage velvet sofa at the same time. Alissa Hunsaker photography quenched our thirst for both. Check out more of her beautiful interior shots after the jump...

The modern space has some great shelving and the George Nelson bubble lamp is a must for this dining table.

We love this room. The sage velvet couch and the beautiful orange rug add perfect amount of color. Also the chandelier painting is a great idea in lieu of the real thing.

The stainless steel appliances, dark countertops and beautiful wood cabinets go beautifully together. We love the worn leather hat on the counter. Very appealing composition.

This photo seems so simple. The white credenza with dark circular handles goes perfectly with the captain's mirror, hung from a thick leather strap above it. The wood panels on the walls add warmth and character.

Huge floor to ceiling closet doors only feed into our curiosity about this room. What is behind these doors? They are a great backdrop for the turquoise chair and the toy basket. The wall sculpture is fun and modern at the same time.

The green thing at the bottom is a rocking toy from Ikea.

You have done a great job with choosing your colors. They are very nice mixed together. The orange with the blue.. and green...
I like the livingroom is stunning!
