Just a heads-up: Last night we spent a lot of time putting together a slideshow of 57 photos (!) of Anna's lovely home for a House Tour. You may recognize some of them if you read her blog, Door Sixteen -- we've shown a couple shots of her house (here and here) before.

Very invigorating design, down to the smallest detail. Wonderful! Thanks for sharing with all of us.

the before version of the kitchen was like the kitchen in our first house... Oh, the years we spend renovating that place! Our house though, did not have such good bones as this... love this place!
I think the entrance would look stunning with an oversize Noguchi Arkari pendant light (the one that is 47 x 46 inches)...

Thanks for the extra props, Leslie! I really appreciate all of the effort you put into presenting my house tour.
ckk: The "love" print is a design by Alexander Girard -- I think (but am not positive) it may have done as part of the Environment Enrichment panel series he did for Herman Miller in 1971. In a recent issue of Dwell magazine, there's a photo of Girard sitting in his studio with this print on the table. I redrew it very accurately (using a reproduction on a notecard for reference) in Illustrator and made my own print, because an original silkscreen would be pretty tough to find (and pretty horrifically expensive, too).

Yeah, so ckk, print out a copy of Girard's print online, go to Kinkos, get a mat, frame it up, and voila. Trust me, i've done it a trillion times. Or, if you're feeling especially frisky, screenprint/Gocco print it, if you know how. It'd be super easy.

I'm so jealous that you live in a place where you can still find bargains and street finds! on such awesome furniture.
I'm starting to believe that there are very few bargains left in Los Angeles..
