Organized shelves always give us a bit of thrill, not in the least because we struggle so much to keep ours tidy. This craft storage project incorporates so many great, motivating ideas that we were happy to find and share.

First, the chalkboard tags. We've seen chalkboard everything by now, but the vintagey look never fails to delight. We also liked how the chalk labeling extends to the non-slate surfaces, to change things up a bit.
Next, we love the color and texture mix on this shelf. The boxes and baskets look pleasant to handle and use. Missviolet is still in the process of completing this project (the plastic baskets on the top shelf are next to go), and we can't wait to see what she comes up with!

I love the baskets. What are the made of and where can they be found, please?

They're woven dyed seagrass that I picked up from Cost Plus World Market when they were still here in Omaha (where I'm at, obviously.) The bottoms are some kind of wood, and they run around $5 apiece, I believe.
And because I'm getting questions: The tags were actually supposed to be napkin rings. Crate & Barrel had them on clearance a few years back for a buck, so I nabbed a couple of sets and repurposed both the tags themselves and the wooden boxes they were packaged in. I'm not sure if you can get them anymore, but they're fairly easy to make (or something similar, at least) with chalkboard paint that you can pick up at Lowe's or Home Depot on the cheap, too.
Hope that helps. :)

I have those World Market baskets too! I love them. They are perfect size and depth for my toiletries in my bathroom stored on Ikea shelves.
