Craft spaces have a special appeal: while computer work stations tend to shine when they are spare and uncluttered, the workspace of the crafter is most awesome when it's as colorful and textured as the objects created in it.

Laurie's home was featured on Design*Sponge last year, and through that post we learned that the Tacoma, Washington--based floral artist makes faux-flower corsages that she sells on Etsy. We love how elements in her work — like little woodland birds — are reflected in her "hobbies room" space.

I am in the process of designing a craft room myself. I love the way you have used antique containers to hold some of your things. I love a vintage look and wasn't even thinking of something like this. This is a nice direction to go to fit in with the rest of the room I am redecorating. Also, that is a great rug!
