Barnacle Tiles by Jo Boyer

10-30-barnacletiles.jpgWe have a soft spot for anything related to the Northern California shore, so it's no surprise these barnacle tiles made our hearts go pitter patter.

10-30-barnacletiles2.jpg Like the real thing, these are a little crusty, a little ugly, but somehow in the end very beautiful. We love how the natural colors and different texture of glazes used give depth.

Jo Boyer's barnacle tiles are available through Rare Device, prices and designs vary.

Very pretty and unique - but they'd be misery to clean...
...unless you like the way green algae grows on barnacles too.
