Cabot is blessed with a huge open space. He's made it very user friendly by creating many inviting mini-areas embellished with his own art as well as asian elements from travels around the world...

Cabot's carefully chosen artifacts run from the perfect french salt to a full Chinese day bed. But Cabot's not afraid to use local finds and IKEA standbys to balance out his scene. Thanks to the sheer scale of the room, high ceilings, exposed beams, and generous use of red, the impact is both relaxing and intense.
If Cabot had his way, he would get multiples of the Chinese day bed and fill the space with them. In the meantime, attention to detail, instances of luxury and great collections keep him quite content and make every visitor swoon!
AT Survey:
Style: Eclectic Contemporary
Inspiration: The cluttered streets of Chinatown merging with the LES
Favorite Element: Skylights, western exposure, late afternoon light on exposed brick walls
Biggest Challenge: Heating and cooling- not very efficient or economical
What Friends Say: Feels like a real home and a warm embrace
Biggest Embarrassment: Never painted any walls or did any custom work- figured the landlord wouldn't approve. Turns out he's totally fine with it and a great guy to boot.
Proudest DIY: Designing the layout with furniture collected at a discount. Took a long time but felt very gratifying to see it come together
Biggest Indulgence: Monolithic flat screen- strictly for movies since I don't have TV.
Best Advice: Get to know as many people in your building as possible. Every New York apartment building is a little community full of good neighbors and good people
Dream Source: Sebastian's atelier in Blade Runner- the ultimate Cabinet of Curiosity.
