Aneta Grzeszykowska & Jan Smaga, Vincenzo Amato, Fabio Novembre and More
Slinks

11-20-bigpic.jpg

We're dipping back into slinks again. This one we sent out in our daily email last Friday, and it was quite popular. It features lovely artwork, rare photographs, a stunning chair, wallpaper that is hairy, an amazing penthouse in Nolita with a lawn and farm animals, and a good deal of nakedness. But it's fairly tasteful...

future2.jpg

Though we've written about them at length over the years, we had to share this. Five years after opening, and a good three years since we'd stopped hoping their website would ever serve any kind of functional purpose, Brooklyn's Future Perfect has finally acknowledged web business, and relaunched their previously obtuse site last week...

Artist Designed Christmas Trees: from Artware

artware.jpg

We're digging these Christmas tree decals from Artware. Each die-cut vinyl wall-sticker Christmas tree is created by a New York City artist and is reflective of their fine art work. These life-size, self-adhesive vinyl trees can be applied directly to the wall by either removing the paper back or simply pinning it.

Good Questions: Source for Penny-Candy Glass Jars?

11-20-glass-jars.jpgI have seen the penny candy variety from anchor hocking that are rounded and have metal tops and I've seen plastic ones, but not glass. I saw these on an episode of "Shear Genius" so I know they are around, I just don't know where. I hope someone can guide me in the right direction. Thanks, Wingpea

The Thin Chair and Table by Junio Design

thin02.jpg

This is the sort of thing that so lovely to look at and so impractical to think about that it qualifies as design porn more than anything else. Designed by Jun Hashimoto and awarded the Design Report Award 2008, the highest award at the Milano Salone Satellite, the Thin Chair and Table represents the most minimal use of materials. Only one sheet is used to create each form..
