Phillip Jeffries specializes in handcrafted wall coverings. No vinyl here, just natural materials like raffia, paper weaves, grasscloth, hemp, linen, and even gold leaf. The look is simple and free of fuss. On their site, they've rounded up a few ways that designers have used their wallcoverings in interiors. If you're thinking about grasscloth or a paper weave for your walls, this is a great resource for ideas...

I really like that grasscloth wallcoverings are making a comeback - Texture is good.

It seems that these are only available to the trade. Is there any way to get your hands on them? Ideas on pricing?

wallpaperstore.com has some terrific grasscloth wallpapers at really good prices. You can order samples for $2 a piece, which you get back of you make a purchase. The samples are the size of a piece of notebook paper so you get a good sense of the wallpaper and what it would look like up.
