Decor Classic: Ceramic Garden Stools

We've always liked ceramic garden stools, both indoors and out for their flexibility (use as table or chair), size (perfect for smaller spaces) and durability (they last forever and always look good). We use a blue and white one that we picked up ages ago at the White Elephant as our bedside table. This season, we're seeing more and more of them cropping up all over so we pulled together this list of ten, from the straight-up simple and sleek to a few more unusual examples...

Top row, left to right:
1. Carved Stool from Wisteria for $249.
2. Moroccan Drum Table from West Elm for $159.
3. Metallic Chinese Garden Stool in Gold from Wisteria for $129.
4. Garden Seat in Lime from Ballard Designs for $139.
5. Decal Square Drum Table from West Elm for $159.

Bottom row, left to right:
6. Black Garden Stool from Gump's for $295.
7. Turquoise Square Frame Lattice Garden Stool from Home Deco-Direct for $194.02
8. Convex Drum Table from West Elm for $119.
9. Floral Yellow Chinese Porcelain Stool from Overstock for $89.99
10. Carved Dragon Garden Stool from Gump's for $295.

I love them as well and printed out the photo from Wisteria for my "inspiration" file. I must go to the Asian shops this spring as I am sure there are some around but I have been looking without success.

How stable are these things? Are they fairly solid or prone to being tippy?

I wish I could find one under $50. I do like the one from West Elm a whole lot, though. Maybe I should save up.

Home Goods usually has a lot of these for pretty good prices, especailly when on clearance.

I keep eyeing them, but I don't really have the right place for one...

tripleB - last year I got a black one at Target for $30. Always wanted one too but didn't want to pay a lot for one. It looked nice and more expensive than it actually was.

Depends entirely on who is sitting on it and how many glasses of wine she's had to drink...

They had a couple at Target in January (during their AWESOME President's Day sale) that were only 10 or 20 each. I STILL wish I'd bought them :-(

And they were very heavy and very sturdy.

I've seen them recently at Marshall's and TJ Maxx for ~$40. They were at Target during the Home Design event, also.

Who makes the sofa? I like it. The size is great, it has a classic look but the lack of arms makes it approachable. Would love to know where to find it.
